LATEST BEAUTY CRAZE? DRY SHEET MASKS?

Charlotte Tilbury Dry Sheet Mask Review

Just when you begin to wonder just what else the beauty industry could come up with, DRY sheet masks pop up. Yes, you read that correctly DRY. As someone who absolutely adores sitting down after a long week, curling up with a good book and popping on a, albeit slimy, but refreshing sheet mask--this whole idea of a DRY mask seems a bit silly.

Now, what I will say is that this particular beauty product doesn't seem to have a ton of widespread availability, just yet. That being said quite a few of the big YouTube beauty influencers have been featuring this particular brand of dry sheet masks: the iconic Charlotte Tilbury. With Charlotte Tilbury products you just know it's going to be a hefty price tag, and this is no excepting. Just a single Revolutionary Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask will set you back $22.00, and a 4-pack costs $80.00.
By now, everyone has jumped on board the sheet mask crazy train; they're being sold everyone from Sephora to Target (and soon CVS). With the popularity, and success, of the original sheet masks that are typically soaked in a type of serum--what makes these Dry sheet masks special?

According to the Charlotte Tilbury website, these sheet masks come built-in with the solution which, get this, means this mask is REUSEABLE!!
Nannette de Gaspe

Another popular dry sheet mask brand, Nannette De Gaspe, also claims you can reseal the mask and use it again. The Nannette De Gaspe dry sheet mask retails for the astonishing price of $120 for a single mask--which can be reused up to 3 times.

Savannah Bee White Hibiscus & Royal Jelly Facial Mask Infuser
Savannah Bee
Another brand, Savannah Bee, claims their dry sheet mask is reusable for up to 5 times. They also describe their product as more of a sheet mask infusion, with the potent ingredients imprinted into the mask, rather than the mask floating in them. This mask, which claims up to 5 uses will run you a cool $29--a bit steeper than the Charlotte Tilbury Mask.

Personally, I'm not sure if I would be comfortable re-sealing a used mask and then putting it back on my face. Still, this is a very innovative product and I do think it's interesting that it can be used again. I can definitely see the appeal for those early morning rushes when you want to apply a face mask but don't want to be left with a "wet" face.
What do you think of these dry sheet masks? Are they innovative or gimmicky?
