NEW: Milani Shadow Eyez Review

3:48 PM

So I actually won these two colors from Milani's Facebook page, I'm pretty sure they are still doing some more giveaways so make sure to check them out!
When I first got them, I was extremely excited about Green Safari, I thought it would make the perfect pop of color on my water line (and spoiler it does!).
However, I quickly switched favorites upon swatching because Champagne Toast reminded me of Silk Teddy from my Two Faced Natural Eye Palette.  I first tried these out by themselves just to see if they really lasted 12 hours.  Quick side note: I have extremely oily eye lids so products usually crease within the hour.  With that being said these shadow pencils actually lasted about 4 hours without creasing, and they didn't look like a hot mess or anything; it was really only noticeable if you got close up to me.

Next I decided to use these products as bases, mainly Champagne Toast since I don't own any other green colors.
And boy did these products not disappoint! They make amazing bases! I tried Champagne Toast with two different eye shadows: Two Faced 'Silk Teddy' and L'oreal Infalliable 'Amber Rush'.

As you can hopefully see from the pictures, Silk Teddy doesn't show up  that well without a base.  But over Champagne Toast the color intensifies immensely!  And the color stays put for a long time! (Yes, even on my greasy eye balls LOL)

Next up is the swatches of Amber Rush!

Now with Amber Rush, the color is very pigmented by itself, but when it's over Champagne Toast I find that I don't have to worry about fall out or with the color fading.  And with a color over Champagne Toast it really does last all day! :O

Like I said I don't have any green colors to use over Green Safari, but I like this color so much by itself.  And it actually last longer than Champagne Toast.  I did a little experiment when I first got these.  I swatched both colors on my hand and then went and did dishes (hey, it said it was waterproof!).  Green Safari stayed put the entire time, I know mind blowing.  Champagne Toast wasn't as committed and faded quite a bit.
So I actually like to wear Green Safari on my lower lash line, I smudge it out.  I think it does last on my water line but not for too long. Maybe 3-4 hours.

Overall I have been loving these two colors! :) There are endless ways you could use these colors!

As always thanks so much for reading!
